Some work on marketing local food products, while others work in agriculture, eco-construction and engineering. The origin of this approach roots in the belief that members of a community should not have to migrate to other places in order to find work. Instead, children should be equipped with the wisdom and knowledge of creating self-employment in order to stay in their home villages. The students benefit from this alternative 'learning by doing' method: rather than being bound to a fixed curriculum, it gives them the space to become creative and innovative.
